Product Owner-Payment Processing/Digital Payments​

As the Product Owner, you will be the company’s first Product hire and will be responsible to support the development and execution of the product vision, be the communication facilitator of the remote development team and ensuring the products are being implemented as best-in-class payments solutions opposed to “guessing and testing”.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience as product owner working in a fast-paced Tech/Fintech forward company. Digital payments background preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Managerial and product management experience and mentor a cross-functional team
  • Track record of clear communications across cross-functional teams and to various stakeholders
  • Strong data-driven method in decision making (KPIs and metrics)
  • Strong relationship/partnership skills, with the ability to unite individuals.


  • Communicate with stakeholders across the board, including customers, business managers, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain a vision by defining and creating a product roadmap. The product roadmap is a high-level, strategic visual summary that outlines the vision and direction for the product offering over time. It is both a strategic guide for stakeholders to reference as well as a plan for execution.
  •  Prioritize a list of backlog items based on the overall strategy and business objectives. Additionally, the product owner will need to map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development.
  • Prioritize deliverables based on the business’ needs. Must juggle the triangle of scope, budget, and time, weighing priorities according to the needs and objectives of stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and organize the steps required for the next iteration. They will then meet with their team to refine the process, identify areas for improvement, and support the sprint.
  • Understand and anticipate the client’s needs to manage the development process more effectively.
  • Drive stakeholder management. Must be expert communicators, making sure there’s buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategy and clear instructions and deliverables for the developers.
  • Accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. They take a primary role in inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration. The product owner makes the judgment call on the performance, deciding if the team needs to go back to the drawing board or if they can move on to the next steps.
  • Capture and transfer of best practices, support as needed with key KPI and metric tracking, and driving regional and cross-functional alignment to key priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Take full ownership of the Product and work closely with the technology and cross functional teams
  • Define the product roadmap with certain digital payments prioritizations
  • Lead with creativity and open mindedness and drive innovative ideas to ensure product transformations and enhancements that can lend to the future success.
  • Effectively build and prioritize the regional product road map
  • Report directly to Management regarding updates on the product and its movement in the market
